Oculus Biomed Limited (“OBM”) is pleased to announce the application of the Chinese Patent which covers its OBM-1701 has been allowed. The term of the Chinese patent extends its patent protection to April 2036 and covers OBM-1701 and its analogues and their use in disorders associated with diverging angiogenesis, including eye-related diseases such as wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD or wAMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME). Corresponding patent applications have already been granted in 7 other countries, including USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, etc and are pending in other countries territories, including EU etc.
